2.3.13 - LNER A4 No. 60009 1Z88 Carlisle - Euston CME, Crosby Garrett

Another view of No.9 at Crosby Garrett, this one is taken slightly earlier just as the loco clears the viaduct. I'm not sure which I like best....Accompanied by a teriffic soundscore No.9 pounds through Crosby Garrett in lucky patch of sun with 1Z88 Carlisle - Euston Cumbrian Mountian Express. Having taken an earlier shot at Town End Farm north of Appleby this was our second effort of this excursion and with plenty of cloud around we did well to get both in full sun. We were heading for Birkett or Greengates but Crosby Garrett looked a better bet for the sun so the boys and me diverted here and on relfection I'm pleased we did.
