Fans of Bullied ex-Southern Region 'Pacifics' in the north have been treated to several tours in recent weeks where these attractive locos have been employed. My last attempt at un-rebuilt West Country 'Tangmere' didn't turn out well as a keen easterly and a little too much help from the diesel at the rear ensured exhaust blew down at almost every location. With similar conditions today I chose a location that would be sheltered from the worst of the wind. They often fire here and I wasn't disappointed with a couple of nice shots of 34067 thundering south through Crosby Garret with 1Z87 Carlisle - Telford Northern Belle excursion.
