Having just arrived back in the Eden Valley after working in Birmingham all day I checked the evening forecast for Kirkby Stephen, keen to catch a shot of the Staycation Shuttle in its final days of operation. Sun was predicted but far from guaranteed so I opted for a going away shot of the ScotRail 47 which must have changed ends since arriving on Sunday evening. Seen in a very lucky envelope of light 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer' heads south with 17:58 Appleby - Skipton RCS / LSL S&C shuttle looking well on the illuminated Crosby Garrett viaduct which is mostly shrouded by trees from many locations.
