JL - 27.2.18 66304 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Shaw Paddock

Interest was raised today as a result of a 57 being allocated to K05 according to the tops report. As the regular lunchtime engineers rounded the curve at White Birch Cottage I thought a master shot was on. The sun was falling into a very lucky gap between the clouds but excitement faded as it recognised the unmistakable outline of a shed. Still, for all that, a nice picture was secured of 66304 ambling through a freezing Shaw Paddock with a very interesting consist (2 cranes and a rake of JNAs)as the Beast from the East storm plunged Cumbria back into Siberian conditions.
