18.6.12 - 66016 6S00 Clitheroe - Mossend, Shaw Paddock

The day finished very much as it had started, under clear blue skies. After an early start to see the first northbound freights, followed by a day at the desk, I dashed out for the returning cement working. There are countless possible locations for this train in June when the early evening light is at its best, but one that I hadn't done to date was (Pete) Shaw Paddock. 66016 cruises north with the loaded Castle Cement tanks returning from Clitheroe to Mossend as 6S00.
