13.12.14 - 66206 6E73 Hunterston - Ferrybridge, Smardale

After clear skies overnight Sat 13th Dec dawned bright, clear and very cold. RTT was reporting a number of possible interesting movements and if the clouds stayed away my plan was to see this DBS coal diagram before heading out to Yanwath for the diverted flasks and possibly an extra mail. However, as can be seen here snow clouds were advancing from the west much more quickly than expected and this was the only shot I attempted. In freezing conditions 66206 toils upgrade through Smardale with 6E73, another load of imported coal working from Hunterston to Ferrybidge.
