JL - 16.10.21 60044 6E97 Kirkby Thore - Tees Dock, Smardale

During the Autumn sunny days can be few and far between on the S&C and with a temporary Tug on the gypsum working if you have a chance you've got to take it. So with cloudless skies I was targeting a second shot of the season of 60044 'Dowlow' on 6E97. Not that I consider it a compromise but with only 30 minutes to spare between meetings my only option was Smardale. Seen in lovely light and surrounded by trees increasingly on the turn the ex BR workhorse thunders quickly upgrade with the Kirkby Thore - Tees Dock empties.
