JL - 4.8.21 43058 & 43059 17.18 Skipton - Appleby, Lunds

It had been a couple of weeks since my last shot but I was tempted back out this evening by the combination of golden evening light, a very clear atmosphere and an increasingly stormy background cloudscape. The angle of the line at Lunds and the low shot composition was the idea location to make the most of the sparkling conditions. In what is probably my favourite shot of this seasonal diagram the final northbound run of today's Staycation Express (17.18 ex-Skipton) is seen slowly approaching Grisedale crossing at Lunds. Only the addition of some forked lightening could add to this pic IMHO.
