JL - 1.6.20 66723 6S00 Clitheroe - Carlisle Yard, Lunds

The S&C cement diagram made a welcome return the Long Drag this evening. This is the first time the diagram has appeared since the UK went into corona virus lock down in late March 2020.
Although I had no specific gen to go on, the wagons were moved from Carlisle Yard to Ribblehead sidings last Friday and apparently repaired over the weekend. GBRf 66723 'Chinook' worked down from Carlisle light engine this morning to collect the tanks from Ribblehead and head further south to Clitheroe. So there was a good chance the northbound loaded run would turn up. Departure was on time but 6S00 was running around 30 mins late at this point as the once S&C regular worked quietly through Lunds with a friendly wave from the second man for the kids who were watching from the crossing. Great to have this back, long may it continue!
