Today was one of those rare days when I got the southbound and the northbound cement diagram on the same day. It's rare that the weather holds for the full day in Cumbria but we've been enjoying an incredible spell of sunshine in late May. The working traverses Ais Gill at the start and the end of the day which makes it a very obvious target in Summer, especially so when there's a GBRf celebrity shed allocated. I've done well with 66727 'Maritime One' in recent weeks and today was no different. With my Nikon in hand at Quarry Farm, and the drone in the air at Lunds, I filled my boots this evening as 6C00 Clitheroe - Carlisle Yard loaded cement forged north with a decent load under powder blue skies.
