JL - 11.3.19 66736 4M00 Carlisle - Clitheroe, Smardale

Using my tried and tested shot composition at Smardale, utilising the sloping foreground wall and decaying line side hut with the loco backed by the open field and the hall in the background, this is my standard set up for bright Spring mornings. This was a much closer call than the sky suggests. 66736 'Wolverhampton Wanderers' dodges the shadows as she forges south with the morning 4M00 Carlisle - Clitheroe cement empties. On a beautiful Spring day with a southbound freight expected, where better to be in the world than Smardale!
