25.8.11- BR 'Pacific' 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' Euston - Carlisle, Lunds

I was very lucky with the sun with this one. The slightly later path for today's steam special tempted me to a favourite afternoon location. Expected to pass Garsdale at 13.23 BR Pacific No.70013 'Oliver Cromwell' was just behind time, and a good job for me that she was, because her passage coincided with a small opening in the cloudy skies above. She's seen here storming through Lunds at an impressive speed with the Cathedrals Express tour from Euston to Carlisle and return (steam hauled on the outward run from Preston and on the return leg to Carnforth).
