11.3.13 - 66106 6M00 Mossend - Clitheroe, Smardale

A decent amount of snow fell overnight and continued to fall in short blizzard bursts throughout the day. In between these heavy flurries there were spells of sunshine but it was one of those days when a huge amount of luck was required to get anything in sun, especially from around Kirkby and further south. On reflection I should've headed further north where there was more a chance of sun and snow. I started off at Smardale where I was able to capture this view of 66106 working 6M00 Mossend - Clitheroe cement empties whisking up the loose snow as it plods south. Only a few minutes after this we were plunged back into cloud and snow.
