JL - 29.8.18 66428 6C89 Mountsorrel - Carlisle, Waitby Common

One of my favourite late afternoon / early evening shots is northbound trains at Waitby Common. Usually it's late September early October when the light reaches its very best. There's 2 workings which are timed well for this shot, the Mountsorrel ballast and the cement. On this occasion it was just the earlier ballast train I managed to get, as my run of appalling luck with the GBRf cement continues. 66428 rolls north beneath the hulking mass of Mallerstang Edge on a cold early Autumn evening.
