A day of heavy rain, strong wind and plenty of cloud cover in our corner of Cumbria. I was in two minds about whether to head out for a shot of the southbound steam special. I'm glad I did because this was the moody and authentic result. Seen in silhouette as she crosses Smardale viaduct LMS Royal Scot 46115 'Scots Gaurdsman' forges south with 1Z87 Carlisle - Euston. There wouldn't be too much in this scene to date it as 2015.
