29.3.14 - 573?? 1Z56 Carlisle - Newport, Smardale viaduct

Very unusual weather conditions in the north today. It was extremeley hazy all day and visibilty was very poor at times.That being the case I had the idea of a moody against the light shot of the returning railtour from Carlisle - Newport. There are a number of possible locations for a shot like this but I went to Smardale where the haze seem a bit clearer than most other spots. Running under the headcode 1Z56 and recalling memories of Spring WCML diversions in days gone by an unidentified WCRC 57 crosses the ever impressive structure during it's journey south.
