Just stunning. What a way to start the day with such a fantastic vista at St Bees. After hours of research into locations, sun positions and train times I got up at 04.30 and headed into the wild west of the county (into Marra country) for the first Saturday of loco hauled Cumbrian Coast workings. Evenn though I live in Cumbria the wild west is still a long trip. I'd worked out that the sun would just about be over the hills at St Bees for the first and second workings and that's just as it turned out. 37423 'Spirit of the Lakes' swings at the rear of 2C33 05.46 Barrow - Carlisle about to pass around St Bees head.
