This was once one of my favourite Scottish 37/4s. I remember seeing it in spotting days in large logo livery with Eastfield 'Scotty Dog' motif and its bright red 'Oor Wullie' nameplates. Decades later 37402 'Stephen Middlemore' approaches St Bees on the rear of 2C41 14.37 Barrow - Carlisle. The thick cloud that had covered Cumbria for the majority of the day had just drifted away to allow for a sunny end to the week just like last Friday night.
