1.7.08 66034 6Z71 Carlisle London Rd - Hunslet (sand trial) Angerholme

In baking summer conditions EWS 66034 works slowly through Angerholme on the climb to Ais Gill with a very rare diagram. This was the trial working (6Z71) for a proposed sand train which never actually came to fruition. Loaded at London Rd in Carlisle, the loaded hoppers were worked south over the S&C to Hunslet in Leeds.
