JL 17.1.15 - 66089 Carlisle - Warrington Arpley, STP extra, Ais Gill

Unusually today the regular Saturday morning Hunterston to Ferrybridge was followed down the S&C by an STP job, a Carlisle Yard to Warrington Arpley coal working. These two were the only daylight southbound freights today and passed Kirkby within 30 mins of one another. Worked by 66089 the diagram is seen in a very lucky patch of sun at Ais Gill surrounded by a decent amount of snow which, on and off, has been falling all day.
