JL - 15.7.21 43058 & 43059 1Z80 Settle - Carlisle, Ais Gill

Recently outshopped from Eastleigh, LSL HST set (including power cars 43058 & 43059) make a special VIP and press run over the S&C prior to the timetabled services starting next Monday 19/7. Seen stretching their legs over the roof of England at Ais Gill the uniquely livered set gleams in the hot Summer sunshine as it heads north for Carlisle. It seems a shame that enthusiasts won't be treated to the heritage loco-hauled services this year and an even greater miss that LSL didn't choose a historically authentic livery for this set. The upside for local landowners is that this probably will mean we don't see a repeat of scenes from 2020 where little respect was shown to walls, fences and livestock by visiting photters.
