After a very busy start to the day I was able to escape the desk for a while to make the most of the bright and clear conditions. Despite appearances sun was not guaranteed today as increasing amounts of cloud built up from the west. The first of several workings which I was after including the logs, the NMT and the evening freight on the WCML was the regular S&C lunchtime engineers. A fairly typical formation is seen behind one of Kingmoor's pet locos 66301 'Kingmoor TMD' as she plods up the final few hundred yards to the roof of England.
