JL 5.6.15 - 37688 5C47 17.31 Barrow - St Bees ECS, Nethertown

The 17.31 Barrow - Carlisle was cancelled and the train ran in the same path as 5C47 ECS to St Bees. From there it went forward to Carlisle as an operational passenger working. Perhaps a they were short of a gaurd until they reached St Bees. Whatever the reason, due to the lack of stops an 18 minute late departure from Barrow was a 5 minute early departure from Sellafield by the time it passed me at Nethertown. In warming evening light 37688 'Kingmoor TMD' powers into the cutting and out of the biting westerly wind.
