JL - 29.1.18 66305 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Low Frith

Living even closer to the line these days (Nateby) gives me even more scope to dash out to the lineside should weather suddenly improve. As was the case today when full dull conditions gave way to bright skies and cold winds in the hours just after lunch. With the cement cancelled, the gypsum as usual not running on a Monday and the Mountsorrel not required, it was just K05 and J37 as the day light hours working freight.
I opted for Low Frith as the conditions looked good and so it was worth the effort of trekking in there. I got the engineers in excellent light only to be outrageously done by cloud for the 60 hauled logs shortly after.
Judging by the timings it was obvious that this diagram had a decent consist today and at this point it was just plodding along with fully loaded ballasters and a good rake of loaded track wagons. 66305 climbs through the attractive location with the daily engineers.
