JL - 13.10.23 68018 68021 3J11 Carlisle - Carlisle, Low Frith

After a very dull and wet start to the day Friday 13th Oct transformed into a cold but bright early evening. I managed to escape the desk for a quick shot of the RHTT which has now settled into an earlier path in 2023 than in any previous year. Timings are far more favourable for the photographer. There were plenty of clouds around so a judicious choice of location was required. I headed for Low Frith where I was hoping to set the seasonal diagram against the avenue of silver birch. Luckily the clouds passed and bathed the autumnal scene in golden light as 60018 and 68021 thundered south into Mallerstang with 3J11 Carlisle - Carlisle jetting duty.
