JL - 27.3.17 37424 Carnforth - Barrow ECS, Kents Bank

Trouble with 37419 on the early morning 05.15 Carlisle - Preston coastal loco hauled service today meant that alternative traction and stock had to be pressed into action. With the errant loco and stock sat down at Preston, 37424 (AKA 37558) with a spare rake and DBSO were brought down from Carlisle to Barrow via the Carnforth goods loop in order to form the 14.35 Barrow - Carlisle. Meanwhile 37409 'Lord Hinton' worked the stock from the failed diagram back up the west coast to Kingmoor. The ECS working is seen skirting Morecombe Bay at Kents Bank.
