JL - 2.1.17 37425 2C41 14.37 Barrow - Carlisle, Ravenglass

A stunning way to finish the first outing of a new year. With an on time departure, the mid afternoon northbound loco hauled service would coincide with sunset at Ravenglass. Set against a beautiful sunset, cloudless sky and with a flare of light through the bogie at the rear of the loco 37425 'Concrete Bob' departs Ravenglass with 2C41 14.37 Barrow - Carlisle and reflects nicely in the estuary of the rivers Esk, Mite and Irt.
If I were being really picky I'd want a few pink clouds over the viaduct but let's not get spoilt, sunshine will do.
