JL - 2.11.17 37422 37423 3J11 Carlisle - Carlisle Shotlock Hill

By my reckoning it's been 9 years since 37s appeared on the RHTT workings. The seasonal diagrams have been dominated by 66s with the very occasional appearance of 57s and on one occasion 47s. When the gen came through last night that 37423 and 422 were allocated I knew I would target the last leg inbound working which headed north over the S&C around 8am. Unfortunately the forecasted clear skies were anything but and the best chance of any light was around Shotlock and Shaw Paddock. I chose a spot which would allow for a shot of each loco and ramped up the ISO in the dull conditions. 37422 leading and 423 on the rear growl through Shotlock with 3J11 Carlisle - Carlisle.
