23.1.09 66111 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Shotlock Hill

Working further south today provided me with another chance to return home via the roads which run alongside much of the S&C. However, with thick cloud cover everywhere I wasn't holding out any hope of a decent shot. That was until I came upon 66111 stood stationary at the new block signal about half a mile north of Shotlock Hill Tunnel, almost unbelievably amidst the mass of dark clouds there was tiny patch of blue sky heading my way. I got into position just as the 66 got back underway with 6K05 and the patch of sun and the train passed me at the same time! How lucky. So here's 66111 complete with 'Highland Rail' bodyside logo approaching Shotlock Hill with 6K05 which today was made up entirely of JNA wagons.
