Evoking the days of WCML diversions it was a pleasure to see a large logo 47 heading north over the S&C today. Although the weather couldn't have been much worse! In freezing and very dull conditions, the S&C luncheon circular working from Crewe to Appleby is seen approaching Shotlock Hill tunnel behind 47593 'Galloway Princess' and D1924 'Crewe Diesel Depot'.
