12.7.12 - 66557 6E76 Hunterston - West Burton, Shotlock Hill

An early start this morning to make the most of the early morning sunshine before increasing numbers of clouds arrived from the west. Given the lack of sun recently I was happy to take my chances that something would turn up and so was operating with no confirmed information about train running. Happily upon arrival at Ais Gill around 7.30am the green aspect was showing for a southbound freight, sun was by no means certain so I waited in the car at Ais Gill until it was passing Angerholme then drove south to make a last minute decision about where the best chance of sun might be. I stopped just north of Shotlock Hill tunnel and got set up just as 66557 rounded the corner with 6E76 Hunterston - West Burton.
