31.5.10 - 66111 6M00 Mossend - Clitheroe, Shotlock Hill

The main event had come and gone by this time on this glorious Spring Saturday morning and a lovely shot was already in the bag (see BR Blue Deltic and stock in Garsdale section), however, the pegs at Garsdale alerted me to the fact that the cement must be running so I set up for a grab shot at Shotlock Hill. Although many will probably feel that this is the classic angle for the Shotlock Hill shot I personally prefer the view from the other side in the afternoon. Simply because the area used for Network Rail access in the foreground is usually such an eyesore. However on this occasion there was no plant or other gubbins on site so I took the opportunity. 66111 is seen approaching Shotlock Hill Tunnel with 6M00 Mossend - Clitheroe empty cement tanks.
