Work has kept me away from the lineside since early Jan and sadly I'd missed all the recent excitement of my favourite Tug 60026 in S&C sun and snow. Finally this Sat I had some time to myself, it was cloudy and misty in Cumbria but a full sun forecast in the North East so I headed in that direction. There are very few places where a railfan can see 4 working 60s in one day, Tyne Dock offers that opportunity. I was heading up to South Tyneside to capture Brush veterans working off Tyne Dock but before that I dropped into Crimdon to witness 66766 working south with 6H70 Tyne Dock - Drax loaded biomass. A calm north sea provides a soothing backdrop.
