Just to show that LNER A4 No.9 was also on site at Shildon along with recently repatriated sister engines Dwight D Eisenhower and Dominion of Canada I took a shot of one of the brake van rides she was working. Seen just after departing the small temporary platform the classic lines of Gresley's masterpiece engine look well beneath the powder blue skies.
