Superb Winter conditions prevailed this morning in the Upper Eden Valley although during the afternoon there was much more cloud around. I hadn't got out early enough for the cement but I was really pleased that 6E85 ran because one glaring omission from my Angerholme collection to date has been a southbound DBS coal service. The Hunterston - Drax diagram is seen toiling through Mallerstang behind 66003 which was just managing to keep the fully loaded 21 hoppers moving.
