JL - 5.4.21 1Q28 67023 & 67027 Heaton - Derby, Grangetown

This Easter Monday, although there were decent workings on the S&C, I was once again tempted across the fells and onto Teesside. One of the targets for today was this Network Rail working from Heaton to Derby via Teesside and specifically Shell Junction. I misread the gen and was expecting 37s however Colas pair Stella and Charlotte were also different if not quite as exciting. Working with 'Mentor' as part of the formation 67023 & 67027 working under headcode 1Q28 pass the former Grangetown station and are about the pass under the line into Lackenby as they close in on the turnaround point at Shell Junction, working just onto the Wilton branch before stopping. I wanted some height at this spot in order to get the now defunct industry at South Bank in frame.
