An outstanding day on Teesside on one of those rare occasions where I got almost everything I came for. Getting started after running around 6F31 Tees Dock - Boulby at the infamous Grangetown signal box, 70011 sends exhaust fumes high into the cold morning air as the rising sun just clears Lackenby works just to the east. This shot is taken on the day that we learnt FHH have lost the contract for these frequent Teesside workings to DBS. Meaning a traction change will be coming over the next few weeks.
