JL - 5.2.25 68003 6C14 Shap - Sellafield North, Shap Quarry

After so many local freight workings had finished in 2024 it’s great to see a new freight diagram appearing in the timetable in early 2025. It’s understood that stone will be taken from Shap quarry to Drigg BNF site for around eight weeks. There are two workings per day employing DRS class 68 and brand-new JNA box wagons. The lunchtime arrival into Shap quarry 6C14 is seen reversing into Shap summit quarry loading siding, before edging forward to load the outbound working.
