JL - 28.3.19 66302 6C89 Mountsorrel - Carlisle Yard, Greengates

One of the joys of living so near to the S&C is that on days when nobody would bother due to poor weather or low traffic or when anyone who had bothered would've headed home, I can get out if conditions suddenly improve. Such was the case this evening, where after a day of mostly cloud and only K05 running anyway there was just a chance that the early running Mountsorrel ballast would arrive in the Eden Valley shortly before sunset. 66302 is picked out in the golden last hour of light as she descends through Greengates with 6C89. This was the penultimate day of DRS operation before the diagram moves to Colas haulage from Monday. Lucky then that this was my first shot of this early evening working in 2019.
