JL - 26.1.18 66741 6D77 Arcow - Hunslet, Selside Far Moor

A belter from Selside. Quality light doesn't come much better than this! It was a smart move to head south when cloud was building slightly further north. Perhaps my favourite location for southbound freights between Ribblehead and Settle is Selside Far Moor. From this spot, using this composition, the mountain backdrop is brought up and you can capture any dramatic cloudscapes, as in this case. The lighting really couldn't have been better with a dappling on the distant Whernside and full sun foreground. 66741 'Swanage Railway' which today was running to Hunslet and in a slightly later path rolls down towards Horton with 6D77 Arcow - Hunslet loaded stone.
