JL - 19123 37425 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe Selside best

The undoubted main attraction on what felt like a heritage traction gala day in Cumbria. With LSL's driver training run from Crewe to Carlisle and return keeping ScotRail 47712 busy, a very rare solo 37 turning up on 6K05 and a 60 working out of Ribblehead on stone, Cumbria was the place to be on this glorious January day. The threat of high cloud further north pushed me down towards Ribblehead which had the added advantage of allowing me to capture both stone workings off Arcow and Ribblehead respectively. After a long wait in the cold a decent sized gallery fell silent as Regional Railways liveried 37425 'Sir Robert McAlpine / Concrete Bob' drifted downgrade near Selside with the regular afternoon Carlisle - Crewe engineers. What a fantastic treat for S&C photters. It was like a late Christmas present.
