An impromptu trip out to the Tyne Valley route again today to catch a glimpse of emerging Autumnal colours. One of my favourite times of the year for photography. I had intended to take the regular 6E48 Carlisle - Tyne Yard engineers approaching Haltwhistle but building cloud forced me further east to Riding Mill. It's not a location I've done before so happy to have found a new spot, not that I think it's a world beater. Under increasingly threatening skies, 66516 rumbles past with a short formation of 2 large boxes.
