JL - 19.9.17 66430 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe, Ais Gill

Caught in a very lucky patch of warming Autumnal sunshine 66430 climbs the final few yards up to Ais Gill summit with 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe lunchtime engineers. This diagram remains steadfastly in the hands of DRS 66s for the time being which is a shame for the S&C photographer as some variety of motive power on this diagram would be welcomed. However, the variation in wagon consist generally makes up for any lack of unusual traction and today was no exception.
