JL - 13.11.24 60046 6Z22 Aylesbury Loop - Tytherington, Gerrards Cross

Working in the south all week I had quietly planned meetings around these DCR 60 hauled diagrams. In particular I was targeting 6Z22 Aylesbury Loop - Tytherington which leaves Aylesbury in an ideal 10:30 path, making the sun favourable for the run down through the Chilterns. There aren't too many clear sections though and so a location must be chosen carefully. One spot where the line is high and clear of the green tunnel which characterizes much of the route is just south of Gerrards Cross where the route crosses the A40 and M25. 60046 'William Wilberforce' looks right at home as she glides over the A40 viaduct gleaming in the late Autumnal sunshine.
