11.9.09 - 66048 6E64 Chalmerston - Drax, Greengates

The unseasonal warm Sept conditions are evidenced by the drivers bare leg sticking out of the cab window. By the time he passed me it was back inside and he was having a chuckle to himself that he'd been caught on camera! Most unusually today this coal working was allowed off Carlisle prior to the empty cement diagram from Mossend. This led to the cement train, which was following directly behind this, being held at every block signal on it's way to Blea Moor where it finally passed the coal which was put into the up loop. Enjoying the slow climb to Ais Gill in warm but slightly hazy sunshine 66048 and it's relaxed driver pass Greengates with the 6E64 Chalmerston - Drax.
