Could this picture the record for the most engines captured moving on the S&C at one time? 5 engines in one shot! Who knows, but it makes for very interesting viewing as 66016, with sister engines 66182, 66201 & 66147 all dead in tow, leads a lengthy 6K05 Carlisle - Crewe engineers diagram past Salt Lake Cottages. Whilst in other direction Colas 47739 works light engine to Ribblehead to collect the loaded timber wagons (see Blea Moor section for a shot of that working).
