JL - 6.9.24 66055 6V71 Hardendale - Margam, Hardendale Quarry

It had been a long and stressful week away from home and I was very keen to make the most of a sunny Friday evening then chill with chips and beers. Having noticed 6V71 had activated, and with this popular flow ending at some point, it was a no brainer to head to Shap and hope a nice DB shed was allocated. 66055 looked in good condition as she arrived and quickly set about marshalling the various sections before leaving the area an hour early. The train would work through the night and arrive Margam Moors just after 3am running bang on time.
