JL - 1.9.20 47712 08:35 Skipton - Appleby, Garsdale Troughs

Having been away on holidays at the point ScotRail liveried 47712 was allocated to the S&C staycation shuttles I wanted to ensure I had a least one shot for the record of this attractive livery which I remember so clearly from my spotting days. There are several options along the stretch from Rise Hill Tunnel to Garsdale station but this one allows for a good study of the loco details and livery. Seen shortly after passing the site of Garsdale Troughs 47712 'Lady Diana Spencer' hammers along looking fantastic with 08:35 Skipton - Appleby, the first northbound service of what was for the most part a beautiful day. After this I was done by some cloud at Blea Moor Tunnel for my third attempted shot this morning. But hey, 2/3 isn't a bad return!
