JL - 28.9.18 37059 & 37069 3J11 Carlisle - Carlisle, Town End Farm

After a successful trail the evening before the 2018 RHTT diagrams started in earnest this evening. Unusually 37s worked the trial and just in case they turned up again on the real thing I wanted to ensure I was at a favourite location with a fair chance of the sun. Cloud was building further south so I discounted Greengates, Bull Gill, Gallansay, Grizebeck and Ormside and headed to Town End Farm where the western skies were clear and the Pennine backdrop is excellent. 37s have been very infrequent over the last 10 years on the seasonal diagrams so I was really pleased to have these veterans back on 3J11 Carlisle - Carlisle. The cleaner of the two 37059 is seen powering along the long straight towards Appleby in stunning evening light. Finally a bit of decent luck!
