JL - 12.5.16 66708 6M69 Hunslet - Arcow, Arcow Quarry

A very early start was necessary to catch the inbound Arcow Quarry working on what must be one of the newest sections of line on the network. The short branch comes off the down line of the S&C just north of Helwith Bridge on the flat section which runs over the site of an ancient glacial lake. 66708 'Jayne' is seen reversing slowly into the quarry with 6M69 stone empties from Hunslet. The working would drop wagons, pull forward and then reverse again to split the load into the 3 quarry sidings. Interesting manoeuvres to observe.
